Name:marmota_monax
Birthdate:Dec 29
Location:Massachusetts, United States of America
Art director by training and trade. Degree in both fine and professional art. Have made my living entirely in art and design since graduating from college in 1986. I love living in New England, I love my farm, I have a damned good life at this point in time. It hasn't been easy and NOTHING has ever been handed me on a silver platter, but the journey has given me strength.

I have accumulated: One fabulous husband who is a book illustrator, a little daughter (yes, at my advanced maternal age!), a farm built in the 1840s, five cats, a flock of fiber sheep, guard llamas, over 200 stuffed toy animals (at one point I designed plush toys); a multitude of Macs, three ukuleles, one concertina, a stuffed caribou head, many boxes of fossils I've collected in the field, a carousel horse from the 1920s, one Lendrum spinning wheel, two Kundert drop spindles, one large Colonial walking wheel, a pile of Mission furniture, a Victorian stereo viewer and quite a number of views. I don't own a car, but I do have a 1948 Farmall Cub I inherited from Grandpa, which I love mightily. I also have a Braemar 77 Silver Cross carrycot pram, an Emmaljunga pram/push chair from the early 1990s, a 1950s Collier pram/push chair, a 1963 German push chair of unknown make, and a Heywood-Wakefield dolls pram. Among all the other stuff, of course! It's clearly a sickness...

A CT native, I live in rural northwestern MA now. I'm finally home. I'm a technology- and gear-head, but I am not interested in RPG, comics, or video games. Life is too short. I'd rather be out in the barn tinkering with the tractor or working on the archeological dig we've got going on here at the farm. It's all about getting your hands dirty, folks.

Passed on but never forgotten:
Inkadink my beloved applehead sealpoint Siamese cat
Bry the movie star llama
Mister Peeps the Australian Zebra Finch
Toffle the sweet orange boy cat
